Full House TV Show

Full House was a comedy sitcom that became quite well known and helped to make several stars into household names. Bob Saget played a father who raised his household of three daughters with help from his friend (played by Dave Coulier) and “Uncle” Jesse (played by John Stamos). Bob Saget’s character was the strictest of the adults in the household and the one that most closely fit the idea of a typical parent. Dave Coulier’s character was goofy, and would best be described as “not all there”. Jesse was a musician and was much more lenient than all the adults. The oldest of the girls was DJ, who was a typical girl trying to be popular and liked by her peers. The middle girl was Stephanie who often struggled to make her own way in a family in which she had neither the responsibility of the eldest, nor the adoration of others like the “baby” of the family. The youngest daughter, Michelle, was shown as cute on account of her being so young. Michelle was played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Using identical twins to play one character on the show allowed the show to more easily shoot without breaking restrictive rules on hours of work for young child actors.

A number of the stars from full house are still household names after their careers were made in Full House. Bob Saget has become a familiar comic and later hosted America’s Funnies Videos for a number of years, becoming famous for his very unfunny lines. John Stamos now acts in the medical drama ER. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson have matured and because brands of their own, with numerous products they have marketed to create a financial empire of their own.

Home Improvement TV Show

Home Improvement was a popular comedy that ran for some time in the 1990’s and played on some stereotypes of gender roles, as well as the likeable buffoonery played out by Tim Allen. His character was an exaggerated example of a tool-loving man, yet his frequent incompetence was a constant source of laughs. His character had a TV show within the show, called Tool Time, where he was a clumsy and unskilled construction worker, while his assistant Al, an unappreciated and skilled worker, would save the day. His family and its troubles were another source of comedy for the series. The series was famous for a number of running gags over the course of the show, such as the next-door neighbor who never had his full face shown despite an appearance in nearly every episode. It became one of the most watched of all sitcoms during its nearly decade-long run. Home Improvement, after its initial run, went into syndication. Now, there are fewer opportunities to catch this old favorite. One way to catch past episodes is through internet TV. It makes available a huge number of shows and past episodes to view at your convenience, and only requires, at minimum, a computer and internet connection. Shows can be watched at any time, and it truly does offer a level of convenience unmatched by any other method of watching the show. The shows of the past don’t have to slip away unwatched when you could watch them through the internet whenever you’d like.

Friends TV Show

Friends was a TV show that appealed to so many people and was so well loved that it really needs no introduction. Many of us loved to follow along with the lives of the six friends and laugh along with the many jokes that occurred within their lives. Monica, the clean-freak chef served as hostess to the many episodes in her apartment. Her best friend, the beautiful and spoiled Rachel, became a runaway favorite among fans of the show. Monica’s very nerdy brother, Ross, was a professor of archaeology who had the worst luck with women. He was married several times, including his first wife who became a lesbian, as well as his love, Rachel, who sometimes returned his affections and sometimes did not. Joey, the very handsome but very dumb actor had the opposite “problem” with women: he was very lucky with them. Chandler, witty and a touch nerdy himself, was Joey’s roommate and later married Monica. Phoebe, was the oddest one of the bunch, and she could be best described as spacey.

When the Friends TV show ended, countless fans were disappointed that they would no longer be able to follow the lives of these friends. Some syndication runs provided for a fix for a while, but all things end in time, and these were no exception. Now, even the reruns of this series are drying up, and hardcore fans are left with fewer choices. One choice is to buy the season DVDs for each of the show’s seasons, but this is an extremely expensive option. Watching the show over the internet is possible though, solves the problem without the expense of other options, and allows you to watch as many shows as you would like, whenever you would like.
